100% cotton white corduroy is perfect for slacks, skirts or a fall jacket. The wale is the number of ridges per inch. With 18-wale fabric, the drape is lighter while still adding structure and has a subtle texture. The width is 55 inches and is cut to order in one continuous piece. The wale runs the length of the fabric. The fabric is soft, almost velvety.
With the ability to trap air between its fiber, corduroy is incredibly warm and the perfect fabric for keeping the cold out during the winter months. As it's also so hard wearing and durable.
